Frequently asked questions

    Clear answers before you book.

If your question is personal to your symptoms, contact the clinic and a member of the team can point you towards the right route.

    01Do I need a GP referral?

You can book a private appointment directly. If you plan to use private medical insurance, check your policy requirements before booking.

02What happens at an initial assessment?

A clinician will listen to your symptoms and goals, carry out a focused assessment and explain the most appropriate next steps. The initial assessment is listed as free on the clinic's current price information.

03Will I receive ultrasound results immediately?

Musculoskeletal ultrasound creates real-time images, so findings can normally be discussed during the appointment.

    04Are all injections ultrasound guided?

GB Clinic's current service information states that injections are carried out under ultrasound guidance to support precise treatment.

05Which areas can diagnostic ultrasound assess?

The clinic assesses many shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot conditions. Your clinician will confirm whether ultrasound is appropriate for your symptoms.
